Katinka Hosszu, a Hungarian three-time Olympic gold medalist, has officially retired from competitive swimming.
BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszu, a three-time Olympic gold medalist and one of the most successful swimmers of all time, has announced her retirement from the sport.
Known as the "Iron Lady" for her grueling event schedule, the 35-year-old Hosszu has competed in five Olympic Games. She first represented Hungary at the age of 15 during the 2004 Athens Olympics.
